SideShift UGC alternatives for brands
SideShift UGC charges brands for software: $299, $499 or $999 a month on monthly billing, or $210, $349 or $699 a month billed yearly, and you pay creators on top. If you want creator jobs without a plan, Socialync's UGC job board charges 5% of agreed creator pay on organic jobs, counted when delivery is confirmed, and $0 in a month with no delivered jobs.
SideShift prices and policies checked on October 23, 2026.
Against SideShift Starter on monthly billing, the two cost the same at $5,980 of delivered creator pay a month ($4,200 against yearly billing). Below that, Socialync costs less. Above it, or if you want a funded wallet, tax forms handled, creator search and case studies you can read today, SideShift is the better fit. Trybe, Billo, Insense and JoinBrands cover other fee models further down.
Socialync is our product. Every SideShift figure on this page comes from SideShift’s own pages, checked October 23, 2026, and each one is linked in the sources list.
Name check: this page covers SideShift UGC at sideshift.app, the creator marketing platform for brands and its creator app. SideShift.ai, a crypto swap service, and forklift side shifters share the name and fill the same search results. They are unrelated companies.

How SideShift UGC works
For brands
- You pick a plan, write the brief and set a creator budget. Starter carries one job listing, Growth two, Scale three.
- Creators apply, or you invite them or find them through creator search. SideShift says the median job collects 284 applications within 48 hours.
- You set the base fee and any view bonus. SideShift reports a median of $7 to $9 a video over the last 90 days.
- You fund a wallet. Creator funds stay there until you approve the work, then go out as one-click payouts with 1099s and W-9s handled.
- You track views, CPM and ROAS per creator and run the organic winners as paid ads. Usage rights for organic and paid use are in every contract.
For creators
- Creators join free with a profile, their social handles and links to their best videos.
- SideShift supports creators based in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia.
- Asked whether creators need new social accounts for campaigns, its creator FAQ answers “Often yes”.
- Pay lands in a creator wallet within a few days of approval. SideShift charges small fees on bank withdrawals.
Who pays whom
On SideShift, the software plan goes to SideShift, and the creator budget goes into your SideShift wallet until you approve the work. Its pricing FAQ asks brands to review payment-processing charges when funding the wallet or sending payouts.
On Socialync, creator pay never passes through Socialync. The brand pays the creator directly. US creators are paid on Socialync's pay page through their own Stripe account; elsewhere the two sides settle directly and Socialync verifies the delivery. Card payments go up to $1,000; above that, US bank transfer.
Socialync bills you its own fee on a separate monthly invoice. Socialync takes nothing from creator pay. Stripe's processing fee comes out of in-app payments, because the creator is the merchant of record.
SideShift pricing
SideShift publishes its brand prices. The subscription covers the software; creator pay, ad spend and Managed services are billed separately.
| Plan | Price | Billing | What it includes | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $299 a month, or $210 a month billed yearly ($2,520) | 14-day free trial on monthly billing | 15 creators live, 1 job listing, 200 invites, 600 tracked videos a month, 3 seats. Recommended creator spend $2,000 to $5,000 a month | sideshift.app/plans/brands |
| Growth | $499 a month, or $349 a month billed yearly ($4,188) | 14-day free trial on monthly billing | 50 creators live, 2 job listings, 1,000 invites, 2,000 tracked videos a month, 5 seats. Recommended creator spend $5,000 to $10,000 a month | sideshift.app/plans/brands |
| Scale | $999 a month, or $699 a month billed yearly ($8,388) | 14-day free trial on monthly billing | Unlimited creators, invites, tracked videos and seats, 3 job listings, priority support. Recommended creator spend $10,000+ a month | sideshift.app/plans/brands |
| Managed | Planned around a $20,000 monthly campaign budget to start | A SideShift campaign manager runs sourcing, briefs and daily creator work | sideshift.app/managed | |
| Agency | $150 a month platform fee, plus a plan for each client | sideshift.app/plans/agency |
Every plan includes MCP access, AI tools, contracts and usage rights, one-click payouts, 1099s and W-9s, identity checks before payouts and what SideShift calls “Checked views (no fake counts)”.
Annual plans are charged for the full year at checkout and carry no trial. Monthly plans start with the 14-day trial; cancel before it ends to avoid the charge.

Fees: SideShift vs Socialync
| Fee | SideShift | Socialync | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly software | $299 to $999, or $210 to $699 billed yearly | $0 | SideShift is a fixed monthly cost. Socialync has no fixed cost. |
| Organic creator pay | No percentage listed | 5% of agreed creator pay, counted when delivery is confirmed | Below $5,980 of delivered pay a month, Socialync costs less than Starter on monthly billing. Above it, SideShift’s flat plan costs less. |
| Ads deals | Paid-ads tools and ROAS tracking included in every plan | 1.5% of attributed sales or 1.25% of ad spend, never both | Socialync’s ads fee grows with your results. A brand with heavy ad spend may pay less on a flat plan. |
| Tax forms and identity checks | 1099s and W-9s handled; identity checks before payouts | Not handled by Socialync; Stripe verifies US creators’ payout accounts | A real advantage for SideShift if you pay many US creators a year. |
| Seats and listings | 3, 5 or unlimited seats; 1, 2 or 3 job listings | No seat or listing fees. One live campaign until a creator has been paid through Socialync, then no limit | Socialync takes up to 500 creators per campaign. SideShift allows 15 or 50 live at once below Scale. |
| AI assistant (MCP) | MCP access on every plan for creator campaigns | MCP connector on every plan for scheduling and analytics; the job board has no MCP tools | To run creator campaigns from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor today, pick SideShift. |
Socialync's fee is billed to the brand on its own invoice, monthly. The full breakdown is on the brand pricing page.
Break-even: when a plan beats a percentage
Socialync’s organic fee is 5% of delivered creator pay. Divide a SideShift plan price by 5% to get the monthly creator pay at which both cost the same. SideShift’s own recommended spend for each plan sits next to it.
| SideShift plan | Price a month | Break-even pay, monthly billing | Break-even pay, yearly billing | SideShift's recommended creator spend | Socialync fee at that spend |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $299 ($210 yearly) | $5,980 a month | $4,200 a month | $2,000 to $5,000 | $100 to $250 |
| Growth | $499 ($349 yearly) | $9,980 a month | $6,980 a month | $5,000 to $10,000 | $250 to $500 |
| Scale | $999 ($699 yearly) | $19,980 a month | $13,980 a month | $10,000+ | $500+ |
Example: $3,000 of delivered creator pay in a month. On SideShift Starter with monthly billing you pay $299 for the plan plus $3,000 to creators. On Socialync you pay $3,000 to creators plus a $150 fee. In a month where nothing is delivered, SideShift still bills $299 and Socialync bills $0.
The table compares organic jobs. Ads deals on Socialync use 1.5% of attributed sales or 1.25% of ad spend in place of the 5%.
A SideShift plan also buys things Socialync does not offer, such as tax forms, creator search and MCP tools for campaigns. Price is one input.

Who should choose SideShift, and who should choose Socialync
Choose SideShift if
- You want to test content at volume. SideShift says its median job draws 284 applications in 48 hours, and its median account pays $7 to $9 a video.
- You want fresh niche accounts. SideShift’s creator FAQ says many brands prefer creators to build new accounts in the campaign’s niche, which suits hook testing at scale.
- You want a Gen Z creator pool. The SideShift app has 30,334 App Store ratings, and its creator page features college students working around class schedules.
- You want creator pay held until you approve, with tax paperwork done for you: a funded wallet, 1099s and W-9s, and identity checks before payouts.
- You want proof you can read before you buy: published case studies and a customer list of 3,000+ brands.
- You want someone else to run it. SideShift Managed plans around a $20,000 monthly budget.
- You want to search for creators, or to run campaigns from an AI assistant over MCP.
Choose Socialync if
- You want no monthly plan. You pay 5% of agreed creator pay on organic jobs when delivery is confirmed, and $0 in a month with nothing delivered.
- You want the post on the creator’s own account, in front of the audience you checked, published through Socialync and attached to the job.
- You want applicants filtered before you read a word. Brands set countries, languages, niches, and minimum followers and average views per platform. Creators who do not clear the floor never see the job.
- You want stats from the source. Follower counts come from the creator’s connected account, and average views come from the posts they publish through Socialync, read from the platform API. No screenshots, no self-reported numbers.
- You want no wallet to fund. You pay the creator directly on the terms in the listing.
- You want organic jobs on eight networks, X, LinkedIn, Threads and Bluesky included. Ads deals run on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- You want clear review terms. Revisions are unlimited, you have 7 days to rule on each draft, and TikTok and Instagram campaign posts carry the paid partnership label.
Three deal types run on the board: organic posts, whitelisting and partnership ads, and UGC videos for your own ads.

If you make UGC on SideShift
You can apply on both. On SideShift, unlimited job applications are part of SideShift Pro, an in-app purchase in its App Store app from $9.99 (Pro Monthly is $19.99). SideShift pays into a creator wallet a few days after approval and charges small fees on bank withdrawals. Its creator FAQ reports earnings of $200 to $2,000 a month plus $1 to $4 per 1,000 views in bonuses, for creators in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia.
On Socialync, applying is free and unlimited on any account. The pay and usage rights sit on the listing before you apply, the brand pays you directly, and Socialync takes nothing from your pay. A free account works one job at a time and a paid plan works five at once.
By default, organic jobs post to your own account through Socialync, so the audience you already built is what the brand hires. Clear a brand’s floor on followers and average views and the job shows on your board. Pay can be flat, per post, flat plus a view bonus, or a rate per 1,000 views; bonuses and per-view pay settle on views read from the platform API. The marketplace is 18+ on both sides.
Questions brands ask about SideShift alternatives
What is the best SideShift alternative for brands?
It depends on what you use SideShift for. For organic creator posts without a monthly plan, Socialync charges 5% of agreed creator pay on delivered jobs. For commission on creator ads, look at Trybe. For finished video files, look at Billo. Socialync is our product, so run the break-even math against your own spend.
How much does SideShift cost?
On monthly billing, $299 for Starter, $499 for Growth and $999 for Scale, each with a 14-day free trial. Billed yearly, the same plans are $210, $349 and $699 a month ($2,520, $4,188 and $8,388 a year) with no trial. Creator pay is separate. Checked on sideshift.app/plans/brands on October 23, 2026.
Is SideShift worth it for brands?
It pays off when your volume carries the plan. SideShift recommends $2,000 to $5,000 a month of creator spend on Starter. At that spend, Socialync’s 5% fee would be $100 to $250 against SideShift’s $299. Past $5,980 a month of delivered creator pay, Starter on monthly billing costs less than the 5%, and it includes tax forms and creator search.
What are some apps like SideShift for brands?
Trybe, Billo, Insense, JoinBrands, Influee, Collabstr and Socialync’s UGC job board. Trybe takes a percentage of ad results or of flat creator earnings, Billo prices per video, and Insense, JoinBrands and Influee add a percentage to creator pay, usually with a plan. Socialync charges 5% on delivered organic jobs with no plan.
Is sideshift.app the same company as SideShift.ai?
No. sideshift.app is the UGC creator platform covered on this page. SideShift.ai is a separate crypto swap service. Searches for “sideshift” mix the two, along with forklift side shifters.
Does Socialync hold creator pay in a wallet like SideShift?
No. Socialync never holds, sends or guarantees creator pay. The brand pays the creator directly. US creators are paid on Socialync's pay page through their own Stripe account; elsewhere the two sides settle directly and Socialync verifies the delivery.
Does Socialync have MCP like SideShift?
Socialync’s MCP connector works on every plan, including free, for scheduling posts and reading analytics. The UGC job board has no MCP tools. SideShift lists MCP access for creator campaigns on every plan.
Can I hire creators outside the US on Socialync?
Yes. Creators can be anywhere outside sanctioned regions, and you can limit a campaign by country. In-app payment is for US creators; elsewhere the two sides settle directly. SideShift supports creators in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia.
When does the Socialync job board open?
November 1, 2026 at 12:01pm Eastern. Brands can build campaigns before then, and founding campaigns go live the moment the board opens. Nothing is charged until a job is delivered.
