Trybe UGC explained: how it works, fees and alternatives
Trybe UGC (jointrybe.com) is a performance-based creator platform. Creators submit videos, brands run the approved ones as Meta whitelisted or Partnership Ads, and creators earn commission on the results, plus any flat fees, retainers or bonuses. Brands pay 1.5% of attributed sales, 1.25% of ad spend, or 1.5% of creator earnings on flat-rate pay. Creators pay nothing.
Trybe prices and policies checked on October 23, 2026.
Socialync’s UGC job board charges the same 1.5% and 1.25% on ads deals. On flat-fee work Trybe costs less: $1,000 of flat creator pay carries a $15 fee on Trybe and a $50 fee on a Socialync organic job.
Which one fits depends on the work. Trybe is built to turn creator videos into Meta ads from your own ad account, with each Shopify order traced to the creator and submission that drove it. Socialync’s board centres on posts from the creator’s own account on eight platforms, and a floor of followers and average views decides who can apply. Both launch Meta partnership ads into your own ad account. Socialync launches TikTok Spark Ads as well; Trybe’s FAQ mentions only Meta launches.
Socialync is our product. Every Trybe figure here comes from Trybe’s own FAQ, terms and app store listings, checked October 23, 2026, and linked in the sources.
Name check: this page covers Trybe UGC at jointrybe.com, run by Trybe Tech, Inc. Other companies share the name: TRIBE (tribegroup.co), an influencer platform; a Brazilian tech course company (betrybe.com); and a fitness app builder (trybe.fit). They are unrelated to Trybe UGC.

How Trybe UGC works
For brands
- You open a free brand account and keep a payment method on file. Trybe’s FAQ names DTC brands, consumer apps and SaaS as its users.
- You set up a creator program and pick the pay: commission on sales or ad performance, flat fees per submission, retainers, bonuses, or a mix. Creators join by your invite or by request.
- Creators upload submissions and you approve, ask for a revision or reject. Approving, or using the video anywhere, counts as acceptance. A rejected video costs nothing unless the campaign details say otherwise.
- You connect Meta and launch approved videos as whitelisted or Partnership Ads in one click. Shopify sync and server-side last-click attribution tie each sale to the creator, or you pay on Meta attribution.
- Its terms require every ad account you run Trybe content through to stay connected for 12 months after a campaign. Trybe may use AI similarity detection to find off-platform use, and a 12-month non-circumvention clause covers creators you met there.
For creators
- Trybe is free for creators. The Trybe Creators app is on iOS and Google Play. Brands invite you from their Discovery feed, or you request to join a program, then get the brief, request a product sample if needed and upload.
- Your commission rate is fixed once a brand adds you to a program. The brand can open a new program at a different rate, and you can decline it. Commissions accrue when attributable results occur, so on a commission-only deal, a video the brand approves and never runs pays nothing.
- Pay goes to your bank through Stripe Connect with $0 withdrawal fees, and Trybe converts currency when a brand pays in another one. Trybe may ask for a W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (outside the US). You must be 18+, or 13+ with verified parental consent.
Who pays whom
On Trybe, you pay Trybe and Trybe pays the creator. Its brand terms call Trybe a payment facilitator: it charges your payment method for flat fees when you accept the work and for commissions at least monthly, then pays creators through Stripe. No deposits or pre-funding are required.
On Socialync, creator pay never passes through Socialync. The brand pays the creator directly. US creators are paid on Socialync's pay page through their own Stripe account; elsewhere the two sides settle directly and Socialync verifies the delivery. Socialync bills its own fee on a separate monthly invoice.
On both, Meta or TikTok bills ad spend to your own ad account.
Trybe pricing
Trybe has no pricing page and lists no plans. Its homepage FAQ says “never more than 1.5%”, with the rate set by what the creator is paid on, and “no seats, no contracts, no minimums.”
| Plan | Price | Billing | What it includes | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sales commissions | 1.5% of attributed sales | Charged at least monthly as results accrue | Percent of GMV or a set amount per order | jointrybe.com |
| Ad performance commissions | 1.25% of ad spend | Charged at least monthly as results accrue | Commission tied to ad results | jointrybe.com |
| Flat-rate pay | 1.5% of creator earnings | Flat fees are charged when you accept the work | Per-submission fees, retainers and bonuses | jointrybe.com |
Its brand terms add that a brand’s fees can include payment processing fees and taxes, and that platform fees may be charged at campaign creation, acceptance or a billing event.

| Monthly plan or seats | None | None | On Socialync, a month with no delivered jobs costs $0. Trybe’s FAQ lists no seats, contracts or minimums; its terms add that platform fees are due as shown in its app. |
| Creator side | Free, with $0 withdrawal fees | Socialync takes nothing from creator pay | On Socialync’s in-app rail, Stripe’s processing fee comes out of the creator’s charge. |

Trybe reviews: app ratings and reported results
App Store: Trybe Creators holds 4.92 stars from 5,182 ratings since it launched on March 24, 2026 (version 1.3.5, October 19, 2026). Google Play: 4.9 stars from 493 reviews and 10K+ downloads, updated October 14, 2026, though Trybe’s FAQ still calls Android “coming soon”. Both listings are for the creator app, so the ratings come from creators.
Trybe’s homepage reports four brand results. Final Boss Sour: Meta attributed revenue from $300K to $2.1M a month and cost per acquisition from $35 to $20 in 6 months. KIAURA Eyewear: revenue from $350K to $2.1M a month and cost per acquisition from $95 to $80 in 8 months. JiYu: DTC revenue from $50K to $2.5M a month in 6 months. Sand Cloud: total revenue up 40% in 3 months. These are Trybe’s own figures. Socialync has no case studies yet.
Trybe Tech, Inc. lists an Austin, Texas address for legal notices and names Stripe as its processor. Its creator terms say it does not guarantee campaign success or payment by brands.
Who should choose Trybe, and who should choose Socialync
Choose Trybe if
- You sell through Shopify and scale with Meta ads, and you want each sale tied to the creator who drove it.
- You buy flat-fee videos in volume. Trybe charges 1.5% on flat-rate pay, against Socialync’s 5% on organic jobs.
- You want a steady flow of ad creative from dozens or hundreds of creators. Trybe says brands launch 100+ ads in fewer than 10 clicks.
- You pay creators outside the US and want one payout rail. Trybe pays through Stripe in 170+ countries; Socialync’s in-app payment covers US creators.
- You want the platform to collect from you and pay creators for you, with nothing pre-funded.
- You want published case studies before you buy.
Choose Socialync if
- You want creators to post on their own accounts, in front of the audience you checked. Organic jobs run on 8 platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, and Bluesky.
- You want applicants filtered before you read a word. Brands set countries, languages, niches, and minimum followers and average views per platform. Creators who do not clear the floor never see the job.
- You want stats from the source. Follower counts come from the creator’s connected account, and average views come from the posts they publish through Socialync, read from the platform API. No screenshots, no self-reported numbers.
- You want organic pay you can plan: flat, per post, a base plus a view bonus, or a rate per 1,000 views with a cap.
- You want TikTok Spark Ads and Meta partnership ads launched from one place. Socialync launches both into your own ad accounts. Socialync applies the creator’s Spark Ads code at launch, and if TikTok refuses it you paste it once in TikTok Ads Manager. Trybe’s FAQ describes launches to Meta.
- You want unlimited revisions with 7 days to rule on each draft, and the paid partnership label forced on every TikTok and Instagram campaign post.
Three deal types run on the board: organic posts, whitelisting and partnership ads, and UGC videos for your own ads.

If you make UGC on Trybe
You can use both. On Socialync, applying is free, pay and usage rights sit on the listing before you apply, and the brand pays you directly. Socialync takes nothing from your pay.
The pay models differ. Trybe commission pays when your ad drives results. Socialync organic jobs pay the agreed amount for a delivered post. Socialync ads deals work like Trybe’s commission: the creator earns commission only, with no base at delivery, while the brand runs the ad.
Organic jobs post to your own account through Socialync, so the audience you built counts. A free account works one job at a time and a paid plan works five at once. The marketplace is 18+ on both sides. Browse paid UGC jobs.
