Billo alternatives for brands that want creators to post
Billo sells UGC videos at one price each, from $99 with creator pay included, paid from a balance you load with prepaid packs. A post on the creator’s own Instagram or TikTok costs extra. If you want the post itself to be the job, Socialync’s UGC job board charges 5% of agreed creator pay on organic jobs, counted when delivery is confirmed, and nothing up front.
Billo prices and policies checked on October 23, 2026.
Billo fits brands that want video files they own outright at a price shown before they order, picked from a pool of 5,000+ vetted creators they can filter. Socialync fits brands that want the post on the creator’s own account to be the job, on any of eight networks, with applicants screened by a floor and the brand paying the creator directly. SideShift, Trend and Trybe run other models, covered below.
Socialync is our product. Billo’s prices and policies come from Billo’s own pages, and its ratings from the App Store and Trustpilot, all checked October 23, 2026 and linked under Sources.
Name check: this page covers Billo at billo.app, the UGC video platform, and its Billo Creator app. Billo at billo.life is an unrelated Swedish digital mailbox app.

How Billo UGC works
For brands
- You write a brief: product, length, format, Regular or Premium creators, and extras. Billo shows the total before you order.
- You buy a pack. It loads your Billo balance, larger packs add a bonus, and the balance lasts 12 months.
- You pick creators from the applicants, or browse Billo’s 5,000+ vetted creators and watch their past videos.
- You ship the product. Billo says most videos arrive within a week of the creator receiving it.
- You get two edit rounds. On approval, all rights in the video are assigned to you.
For creators
- The Billo Creator app is free. Creators must be 18+ and live in the US, Canada or the UK; the October 1, 2026 creator terms add Australia.
- No following is needed. A standard job ends with an uploaded video; posting it is an add-on the creator prices.
- After the brand approves, Billo starts a Stripe Connect transfer within 3 days, or pays by PayPal twice a month in Australia.
Who pays whom
On Billo, you pay Billo. Orders come off your prepaid balance, Billo pays the creator after you approve, and Billo’s fee sits inside the video price. Its brand terms name it your payment agent for holding and paying out those funds.
On Socialync, creator pay never passes through Socialync. The brand pays the creator directly. US creators are paid on Socialync's pay page through their own Stripe account; elsewhere the two sides settle directly and Socialync verifies the delivery.
Socialync bills its own fee monthly on a separate invoice. Socialync takes nothing from creator pay. Stripe's processing fee comes out of in-app payments, because the creator is the merchant of record.
Billo pricing
Billo keeps its full price list inside the app, because each video’s cost depends on the brief. Its pricing guide, dated October 9, 2026, gives the starting price and what moves it.
| Plan | Price | Billing | What it includes | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creator video | From $99 a video | Prepaid packs load a balance, valid 12 months; larger packs add a bonus | Creator pay, fees, a raw video, two revision rounds, full usage rights. Length, Premium creators and extras raise it | billo.app/blog/how-billo-pricing-works |
| Organic posting | Set by each creator | The creator posts the approved video on Instagram or TikTok for 30 days | billo.app/partnerships-hub/organic-posting | |
| Partnership ads | Set by each creator, on top of the video | Meta Partnership Ads at content or account level, or TikTok Spark Ads with a 30-day code. Content-level ads also need the posting add-on | billo.app/partnerships-hub/partnership-ads | |
| CreativeOps | From $149 a month, with a free plan | Script generator, creator matching, ad variations, creative analytics | billo.app/creativeops | |
| Managed service | From $2,000 a month | Billed monthly in advance; cancel after the first month | A dedicated team runs creators and edits footage into ads | billo.app/managed-service |
Billo+: a FAQ item posted October 2023 still prices Billo+, an unlimited editing subscription, at $499 a month. The October 2026 pricing guide does not list it. Ask Billo before you budget for it.
Refunds, per Billo’s brand terms effective September 23, 2026: charges are final, apart from a request for compensation when no creator is selected within 30 days of an order. A granted pack refund covers the unused balance minus a 25% administrative fee.
Checked on October 23, 2026. Plans change, so confirm on Billo's site before you buy.
Fees: Billo vs Socialync
| Fee | Billo | Socialync | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| How the price is set | One price per video, from $99, creator pay and Billo’s fee inside it | The creator pay you set, plus 5% on delivered organic jobs | Billo’s pricing guide does not break out its share of the price. On Socialync you see creator pay and the fee as two numbers. |
| Paid before any work | A prepaid pack; each order charged when placed | Nothing. The fee is counted at delivery | Unused Billo balance expires 12 months after purchase, and a granted pack refund loses a 25% administrative fee. Socialync holds no balance. A month with no delivered jobs costs $0. |
| A post on the creator’s account | Add-on priced by each creator | The job itself, at agreed pay plus 5% | A $150 post job on Socialync costs $150 to the creator and $7.50 to Socialync. |
| Ads from the creator’s handle | A fee set by each creator, on top of the video | 1.5% of attributed sales or 1.25% of ad spend, never both | Billo’s price is fixed up front, which is easier to budget. On Socialync, $2,000 of ad spend on a per-lead deal means a $25 fee, plus the creator’s commission. |
| Working with a creator again | Through Billo only, for 12 months after your last order or message | Re-hire with a private listing or a monthly retainer | A retainer that starts from an organic job carries the same 5%, on its total guarantee. |
Socialync's fee is billed to the brand on its own invoice, monthly. The full breakdown is on the brand pricing page.
Is Billo legit? Ratings and reported numbers
App Store: the Billo Creator app holds 4.69 stars from 1,914 ratings, version 7.2.1 released October 19, 2026, checked October 23, 2026. The app is for creators, so creators leave those ratings.
Trustpilot: TrustScore 3.9 from 522 reviews on a claimed profile, 74% five-star and 13% one-star, checked October 23, 2026.
Billo’s own figures, as it reports them: 37,000+ brands, 5,000+ vetted creators, and an internal study of 1.41 million Meta ads in which Billo ads ran an 11% lower CPA than other ads in the same accounts. Billo publishes case studies. Socialync has none yet.
Who should choose Billo, and who should choose Socialync
Choose Billo if
- You want video files for your ads at one price per video, from $99 with creator pay included, and no subscription. Billo Expert editing turns the raw file into a platform-ready Meta or TikTok ad as an add-on.
- You want to pick creators yourself from a pool, filtering 5,000+ vetted creators by age, location, appearance and interests and watching their past videos.
- You want to own the video outright for one price. Billo’s terms assign all rights to you on approval. On Socialync, paid use runs under a licence (12 months by default, 1 to 120 months, or perpetual if you choose it), and you pay the creator a commission while your ads run.
- You want ads from the creator’s handle at a fixed price the creator sets, with no commission while the ads run.
- You want creative analytics or a team to run it: CreativeOps from $149 a month, Managed from $2,000 a month.
- You want proof you can read today. Billo publishes case studies and reports 37,000+ brands.
Choose Socialync if
- You want the post on the creator’s own account to be the job, on any of eight networks, published through Socialync and attached to the live post.
- You want nothing paid up front: no pack, no balance to expire, 5% when delivery is confirmed, $0 in a quiet month.
- You want applicants screened before you read a word. Brands set countries, languages, niches, and minimum followers and average views per platform. Creators who do not clear the floor never see the job.
- You want stats from the source. Follower counts come from the creator’s connected account, and average views come from the posts they publish through Socialync, read from the platform API. No screenshots, no self-reported numbers.
- You hire creators outside the four countries Billo accepts. Creators can be anywhere outside sanctioned regions. US creators are paid on Socialync’s pay page through their own Stripe account; elsewhere you settle with the creator directly and Socialync verifies the delivery.
- You expect more than two edit rounds. Revisions are unlimited, you have 7 days to rule on each draft, and silence never counts as approval.
- You want the ads fee to move with the campaign: 1.5% of attributed sales or 1.25% of ad spend, never both, and no price per video. TikTok and Instagram campaign posts go out with the platform’s paid partnership label switched on.
Three deal types run on the board: organic posts, whitelisting and partnership ads, and UGC videos for your own ads.

Every platform side by side, with fees and who holds the money: UGC platform alternatives compared.
If you make UGC on Billo
You can work on both. Billo takes creators in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia, needs no following, and starts a Stripe Connect transfer within 3 days of the brand’s approval (PayPal twice a month in Australia). Posting the video yourself is an add-on you price.
On Socialync, applying is free and unlimited, and pay, usage rights and the deadline sit on the listing before you apply. The brand pays you directly: US creators through their own Stripe account on Socialync’s pay page, everyone else straight from the brand. Socialync takes nothing from your pay.
Organic jobs post to your own account through Socialync, so your audience is part of the deal. Brands filter on average views from the posts you publish through Socialync in the last 30 days, so posting through it is how you get measured. An Ads deal pays commission only, with no base at delivery, while the brand runs your video, and you never post it. A free account works one job at a time and a paid plan works five. The marketplace is 18+ on both sides.
