Collabstr alternatives for brands
Collabstr adds a 10% hiring fee to every order on its Free and Pro plans, or 5% on Premium from $333 a month, and creators pay 15% of their payout. This page compares it with seven alternatives: Socialync’s UGC job board, SideShift, Trybe, JoinBrands, Insense, Influee and Billo. Socialync charges 5% of agreed creator pay on organic jobs, counted when delivery is confirmed, with no plan, and you pay the creator directly.
Collabstr prices and policies checked on October 14, 2026.
On a $1,000 job, Collabstr Free bills you $1,100 and the creator receives $850. On Socialync you pay the creator $1,000 and Socialync $50. Collabstr fits better if you want to browse 1.3m+ creator profiles and book one at a listed price, or want the platform to hold the money until you approve and pay creators in 150 countries. Socialync has no creator directory: you post a campaign and creators who clear your floor apply.

How Collabstr works
For brands
- Search 1.3m+ creators by platform, niche, audience and budget, then buy a package at the listed price or send a custom offer. This works on the free plan.
- On Pro or Premium, post a campaign brief instead. Creators apply with their prices and you can chat before hiring.
- Order at the creator’s price plus the hiring fee. The creator has 72 hours to accept, Collabstr charges you only once they do, and it holds the money until you approve.
- The creator submits the work in Collabstr. You have 72 hours to approve, ask for a revision or open a dispute; after that the creator is paid.
- Instagram, TikTok and YouTube posts you bought are tracked automatically for up to three weeks each, with stats refreshed every 24 hours.
- On Pro or Premium you can import creators you already work with. Their orders carry the same hiring fee.
For creators
- Creators list packages at their own prices and share their Collabstr link.
- Collabstr verifies identity and audits for fake followers before listing a creator.
- Creators pay 15% when they make a sale and are paid out through PayPal, Cash App, Venmo and other methods. Its terms set the minimum age at 18.
Who pays whom
On Collabstr, you pay Collabstr the creator’s price plus the hiring fee upfront. Collabstr holds it as the creator’s payment collection agent, then pays the creator less 15% once you approve the work or the 72-hour review ends with no revision request or dispute.
If the creator does not deliver, Collabstr says you get a full refund. Its terms credit approved refunds to your Collabstr account balance, which you can withdraw or spend on later orders, and brands can also pre-fund that balance.
Its terms also say that once a brand and creator meet on Collabstr, both must transact through Collabstr for 18 months from their first order, so repeat work with that creator carries Collabstr’s fees for that period.
On Socialync, creator pay never passes through Socialync. The brand pays the creator directly. US creators are paid on Socialync's pay page through their own Stripe account; elsewhere the two sides settle directly and Socialync verifies the delivery.
Socialync bills you its own fee on a separate monthly invoice. Socialync takes nothing from creator pay. Stripe's processing fee comes out of in-app payments, because the creator is the merchant of record.

Who should choose Collabstr, and who should choose Socialync
Choose Collabstr if
- You want to browse and book: search 1.3m+ profiles and buy a package at the listed price, on the free plan.
- You want the platform to hold the money, decide disputes and refund you when a creator does not deliver.
- You pay creators outside the US. Collabstr pays out across 150 countries and issues 1099s for eligible creators. Socialync’s in-app payment covers US creators only.
- You want to filter creators by age, gender or ethnicity, which Collabstr’s search offers. Socialync has no demographic targeting of creators.
- You hire on Twitch, Snapchat or Amazon, which Socialync’s job board does not cover.
- You want reviews and case studies to read today.
Choose Socialync if
- You want campaigns with no monthly plan: 5% of agreed creator pay when delivery is confirmed, and $0 in a quiet month.
- You want no platform fee taken from the creator. Socialync takes nothing from creator pay; Collabstr takes 15%.
- You want applicants filtered first. Brands set countries, languages, niches, and minimum followers and average views per platform. Creators who do not clear the floor never see the job.
- You want stats from the source. Follower counts come from the creator’s connected account, and average views come from the posts they publish through Socialync, read from the platform API. No screenshots, no self-reported numbers.
- You want the post on the creator’s own account, published through Socialync and attached to the job, with the paid partnership label forced on every TikTok and Instagram campaign post.
- You want ads from the creator’s handle: Meta partnership ads and TikTok Spark Ads launched into your own ad account from Socialync (Socialync applies the creator’s Spark Ads code, with a one-time paste in Ads Manager if TikTok refuses it), with commission while they run.
- You hire for LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky or Facebook posts, which Collabstr does not list.
- You want more than 72 hours to review: Socialync gives you 7 days to rule on each draft, with unlimited revisions.
Three deal types run on the board: organic posts, whitelisting and partnership ads, and UGC videos for your own ads.

If you sell brand deals on Collabstr
You can use both. On Collabstr you set your own packages and pay 15% when you make a sale. Its terms keep you and any brand you met there on Collabstr for 18 months from your first order together, so take that brand’s work through Collabstr. On Socialync, applying is free and unlimited, the pay and usage rights sit on the listing, and the brand pays you directly. Socialync takes nothing from your pay.
Organic jobs post to your own account through Socialync, and only the jobs whose floor you clear show on your board. Your average views come from the posts you publish through Socialync in the last 30 days, so post through it for a month before you apply. A free account works one job at a time and a paid plan works five. The marketplace is 18+ on both sides.
Questions brands ask about Collabstr alternatives
What is the best Collabstr alternative for brands?
For campaigns with no plan and nothing taken from creator pay, Socialync’s job board charges 5% on delivered organic jobs. For commission on Meta ads, Trybe. For a subscription job board with a brand wallet, SideShift. For finished video files, Billo. To browse profiles and book at a listed price, Collabstr itself. Socialync is our product, so check the fees against your own spend.
How much does Collabstr cost?
As listed on collabstr.com in October 2026: Free is $0 with a 10% hiring fee. Pro is $249 a month billed annually or $299 month to month, also 10%. Premium is $333 or $399, with a 5% fee. Enterprise starts at $1,000 a month. Creators pay their own 15%, so on a $1,000 order on Free you pay $1,100 and the creator receives $850.
Is Collabstr Premium worth it?
On fees alone, Premium beats Free above $6,660 of orders a month on annual billing ($7,980 month to month), and beats Pro above $1,680 ($2,000). Below that, you pay for unlimited campaigns, more tracked posts and reports.
Does Collabstr hold the payment until I approve?
Yes. You pay upfront and Collabstr holds the money until you approve or the 72-hour review ends. Socialync never holds creator pay: the brand pays the creator directly.
Does Socialync have a creator directory like Collabstr?
No. There is no directory, search or matching, by design. You post a campaign with your floor and creators who clear it apply. You can also invite a creator whose exact handle you already have, or one who applied before.
Can I pay a Collabstr creator outside Collabstr?
Not for 18 months under Collabstr’s terms. A brand and creator who met on Collabstr must transact through it for video, photos and social posts for 18 months from their first order, and each of those orders carries Collabstr’s fees.
Is Collabstr legit?
Collabstr Ventures, Inc. runs it and publishes its terms and prices. On October 23, 2026 its Trustpilot profile showed 4.5 from 492 reviews and its creator app 4.86 stars from 614 App Store ratings.
