TikTok safe zone
On a 1080 by 1920 pixel frame for a TikTok video, keep text, faces and logos out of the top 240 pixels, the bottom 660 pixels and 120 pixels on each side. TikTok’s profile picture, like, comment, save and share buttons also cover a column 180 pixels wide inside the right margin, starting 840 pixels from the top. That leaves about 38% of the frame clear. These are TikTok’s own numbers, published for in-feed ads on TikTok. TikTok’s file does not print the width of the button column, so Socialync measured it from that file.

Platforms publish safe zones for ads only, so those are the numbers here, read on each platform's own pages and files on October 11, 2026. The buttons and text drawn on the overlay show where the app puts them and are there for reference. The shaded areas are the published numbers.
- TikTok: TikTok publishes its safe zone as a template file on its In-Feed Ads help page. The file prints the top, bottom and side margins and the height of the button column on a 720 by 1280 frame, and they are scaled here to 1080 by 1920. The file does not print the width of the button column, so Socialync measured it from the file itself. Yes. Each platform has a free, transparent 1080x1920 PNG and SVG with the covered areas shaded and the clear area outlined. Put it on the top track in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or Canva, keep your text inside the green outline, then hide the layer before you export.

No. Your browser opens the file on your device and draws the overlay on top of it. Nothing is sent anywhere.

TikTok, Meta and Google publish their safe zones for ads, and those are the only official numbers. Ads play in the same full screen feed as regular posts, with the same caption, buttons and username, and add a call to action button.
