Claude + Socialync
Post to social media with Claude, not a dashboard.
Socialync's claude social media MCP connects Claude straight to your Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok, and YouTube accounts, so Claude can draft, schedule, and publish posts without you touching a calendar UI.
Why Claude is the smoothest way to run social
Claude has the most native MCP support of any assistant right now, so the connection between Claude and Socialync feels less like a plugin and more like a built-in feature. You describe what you want posted, Claude drafts it against your brand voice, and it schedules or publishes through the accounts you already connected to Socialync. No copy-pasting captions into five different apps.
- Claude reads context from your conversation to draft on-brand captions
- Posts go out through your own OAuth-connected accounts, never a shared bot account
- Works alongside the Socialync app, so scheduled posts still show up in your calendar
- No separate login for Claude, it uses the MCP connection you set up once
What Claude can actually do through the MCP
Be precise about scope: through the Socialync MCP, Claude can publish text and image posts immediately to Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, and Bluesky, and schedule video posts, including TikTok and YouTube, from media already in your Socialync library or a public video URL. Claude cannot receive a raw video file in chat, so upload the video in Socialync first, then ask Claude to schedule it.
- Draft and publish text and image posts to Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, and Bluesky
- Suggest captions, hashtags, and post timing based on what you tell it
- Queue multiple posts in one conversation instead of one form at a time
- Schedule video posts, including TikTok and YouTube, from your Socialync library or a public video URL
Claude drafts, you're always in the loop
Every post Claude prepares goes through your own connected accounts and your own approval, whether that's confirming in the chat or checking the schedule in Socialync. Claude is not an autonomous bot posting on your behalf without you knowing, it's an assistant doing the drafting and scheduling work you'd otherwise do by hand.
- Posts publish through accounts you personally authorized with OAuth
- You see and can adjust drafts before anything goes live
- Scheduled posts appear in your normal Socialync calendar for review
- Nothing posts silently in the background outside your control
Why teams pick Socialync over a generic scheduler
Plenty of tools bolt an MCP server onto an existing dashboard. Socialync built the MCP layer specifically so Claude could operate it end to end, and paired that with things a scheduler-only tool like Postiz doesn't have.
- Native TikTok personal-account publishing in the app, not just business accounts
- Simple pricing, no per-post surcharges
- MCP works with Claude and ChatGPT, not locked to one assistant
- One connected set of accounts across the app and the MCP, so nothing gets out of sync
How it works
Connect Socialync's MCP server to Claude
Add Socialync as an MCP server in your Claude setup and authorize it against your Socialync account.
Link your social accounts once in Socialync
Connect Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok, and YouTube through normal OAuth, the same accounts Claude will publish through.
Ask Claude to draft and schedule
Tell Claude what you want posted and when. It writes the caption, attaches images if needed, and sets the schedule.
Review and publish
Confirm the draft in your conversation or check it in the Socialync calendar, then it publishes through your connected account at the scheduled time.
Frequently asked questions
Does Claude post to social media on its own, without me approving anything?
No. Claude drafts and schedules posts, but everything publishes through your own OAuth-connected accounts, and you can review drafts in the conversation or in the Socialync calendar before they go live. It's not an autonomous bot posting without your involvement.
Can Claude post videos or TikTok through the MCP?
Yes, as scheduled posts. Upload the video in Socialync (a video file cannot be pasted into a chat) or give Claude a public video URL, then ask it to schedule the post to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram Reels, or any of the 8 platforms. Immediate publishing is text and images only, because platforms take minutes to process video.
Which platforms can Claude publish to through Socialync?
All 8. Text and image posts publish immediately to Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, and Bluesky. Video, including TikTok and YouTube, is scheduled rather than published on the spot, using media already in your Socialync library or a public video URL, because platform video processing takes minutes. YouTube needs a title.
Does this work with ChatGPT too, or only Claude?
The MCP server works with any MCP-compatible client, including ChatGPT. Claude currently has the most native MCP support, which is why the connection feels smoother, but it's not Claude-exclusive.
What plan do I need for MCP access?
Every plan, free included. The free plan is $0 with no card and includes MCP with 5 posts a month. Paid plans start at $20/month for 5 social accounts with unlimited posts, and team collaborator seats are an add-on (first seat free).
Do I need to give Claude my social media passwords?
No. You connect your accounts to Socialync once through standard OAuth, the same secure connection the Socialync app uses. Claude never sees your passwords, it works through the authorized connection.
