Connect Claude once, then just ask
Socialync is listed in Claude's connector directory, so you add it from Claude's own settings: Settings, then Connectors, then Browse connectors, search Socialync and click Connect. You describe what you want posted, Claude drafts it against your brand voice, and it schedules or publishes through the accounts you already connected to Socialync. No copy-pasting captions into five different apps.

What Claude can actually do through the MCP
Be precise about scope: through the Socialync MCP, Claude can publish text and image posts immediately to Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, and Bluesky, and schedule video posts, including TikTok and YouTube, from media already in your Socialync library or a public video URL. Claude cannot receive a raw video file in chat, so upload the video in Socialync first, then ask Claude to schedule it.

How it works
Connect Socialync's MCP server to Claude
In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Browse connectors, search Socialync and click Connect, then sign in to your Socialync account. Adding the server URL as a custom connector works too.
Link your social accounts once in Socialync
Connect Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok, and YouTube through normal OAuth, the same accounts Claude will publish through.
Ask Claude to draft and schedule
Tell Claude what you want posted and when. It writes the caption, attaches images if needed, and sets the schedule.
Review and publish
Confirm the draft in your conversation or check it in the Socialync calendar, then it publishes through your connected account at the scheduled time.
Frequently asked questions
Does Claude post to social media on its own, without me approving anything?
No. Claude drafts and schedules posts, but everything publishes through your own OAuth-connected accounts, and you can review drafts in the conversation or in the Socialync calendar before they go live. It's not an autonomous bot posting without your involvement.
Can Claude post videos or TikTok through the MCP?
Yes, as scheduled posts. Upload the video in Socialync (a video file cannot be pasted into a chat) or give Claude a public video URL, then ask it to schedule the post to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram Reels, or any of the 8 platforms. Immediate publishing is text and images only, because platforms take minutes to process video.
Which platforms can Claude publish to through Socialync?
Claude can post to 8 of the 9 platforms, every one except Pinterest. Text and image posts publish immediately to Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, and Bluesky. Video, including TikTok and YouTube, is scheduled rather than published on the spot, using media already in your Socialync library or a public video URL, because platform video processing takes minutes. YouTube needs a title.
Does this work with ChatGPT too, or only Claude?
Both. The same MCP server works in ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor, Codex and any other client that supports remote MCP with OAuth. The ChatGPT walkthrough has its own page.
What plan do I need for MCP access?
Every plan, free included. The free plan is $0 with no card and includes MCP with 5 posts a month. Paid plans start at $20/month for 5 social accounts with unlimited posts, and team collaborator seats are an add-on (first seat free).
Do I need to give Claude my social media passwords?
No. You connect your accounts to Socialync once through standard OAuth, the same secure connection the Socialync app uses. Claude never sees your passwords, it works through the authorized connection.
