Pinterest character counter
The Pinterest limit is 800 characters per Pin description. Paste your text to get the exact count, plus whether it fits on every other platform.
How Pinterest counts characters
Every character in the Pin description counts. The Pin title is a separate field.
Pinterest is a search engine as much as a social network, so describe what the Pin shows in the words people search for.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Pinterest character limit?
800 characters for a Pin description. Every character in the Pin description counts. The Pin title is a separate field.
What happens if my Pinterest Pin description is over the limit?
Pinterest refuses or cuts text that runs past the limit. Socialync checks the count before it publishes and tells you which platform is over, so you can shorten it or write a separate Pinterest version.
Can I post the same text to Pinterest and other platforms at once?
Yes. Socialync publishes one post to all 9 platforms at once and lets you write a separate caption for any platform with a tighter limit. The free plan needs no card.
