Swearing "on God" has long been spoken emphasis; ONG is its compressed internet form. Append it to vouch for your own statement ("best concert of my life ong") or reply with it to co-sign someone else's. Stacking it with other sincerity markers ("ong fr no cap") is common, often for comedic effect.
Some users read ONG as "oh my God" — that is a mistake; OMG is the separate term. ONG specifically invokes the oath. It is casual, lowercase-by-default vocabulary that has stayed current through the 2020s, and like most sincerity slang it reads as forced in polished brand copy.
