The pixel sits invisibly on a brand's site and fires a small event whenever someone lands on a page, adds to cart, or completes checkout. Meta's ad platform reads those events back and matches them to the ads that ran, which is how a brand knows which specific ad, and which creator's content, actually drove a purchase rather than just a view.
Without a working pixel, a brand can still run ads but cannot reliably measure what they did. TikTok requires the same setup for Spark Ads, and Shopify stores often layer their own last-click attribution on top of the platform's numbers, which can report a different result for the same sale.
A pixel is a hard requirement for any ads deal on Socialync's job board: whitelisting, partnership ads, or Spark Ads. A campaign cannot launch without one connected, since there would be no way to measure the attributed results a creator's commission depends on.
