The Most Important Lesson I Learned From Going Top 100 in the World
Hey — I’m Jack Vitick, the founder of Socialync.
In this blog, I want to share a bit of my history.
A little over three years ago, I started posting content online.
Not business content…
Not productivity…
Just pure Rocket League.
If you’ve never played it — Rocket League is a game where you drive a car and try to score a soccer ball into a goal. It’s fast, competitive, and insanely technical.

I kept playing…
and playing…
and playing…
Eventually, I became ranked Top 100 in the world in every single game mode.
(Explanation for new readers: Rocket League Competitive Ranks)
And that’s when I started posting content seriously.
My Growth
I went from 0 followers
→ 40,000 on TikTok
→ 7,000 on YouTube
And across everything,
I pulled in over 25,000,000+ views.
If you’re interested in how creators grow, here’s a great foundational summary:
How Social Media Algorithms Serve Content
I’m not saying that to brag.
I’m saying it because the lesson I’m about to tell you applies no matter what niche you’re in.
The First Video That Changed Everything
My first-ever video was literally just…
a black box clip of me scoring a cool goal.
And nobody cared.
That’s when I learned the single most important lesson in content:
> No one cares about what you did —
they care about the story behind it.
A highlight alone is forgettable.
A story is unforgettable.
The Secret: Tell Them What’s Coming
To win online, you have to:
- Tell people what’s going to happen immediately
- Build a story toward that moment
- Give them a reason to stay
- Deliver the payoff
When I started making videos like:
> “I beat these trash-talkers as a Top 100 player…”
Everything changed.
Suddenly, people watched the full video because they were following a story, not a clip.
If you’re unsure how to structure story online, this is a helpful intro:
What Makes Storytelling Work in Marketing
They wanted to:
- See what the trash talkers said
- See how good a top 100 player really is
- Root for me because no one likes trash talkers
Now the viewer has stake.
They’re emotionally invested — they want to see what happens.
And when viewers are on your side…
your content blows up.
Storytelling Is Universal
This doesn’t just apply to Rocket League.
It doesn’t matter if you’re posting:
- Golf
- Makeup
- Fitness
- Cooking
- Cars
- Tech
- Anything
You have to tell a story.
No one cares about a random:
- Golf swing
- Makeup look
- Gaming clip
…unless there’s a story attached.
People WILL stay if you:
- Show a new makeup technique
- Play the best golf round of your life
- Beat a trash talker
- Become the #1 ranked player
The difference is context.
Story gives meaning.
Meaning gives retention.
Retention gives growth.
(Science behind this: Why Stories Capture Attention)
This is the formula.
Why This Made Me Build Socialync
Once I learned the power of storytelling, I understood how important distribution was.
You can post an amazing story on TikTok and get 1,000,000 views…
…but if you don’t also post on:
- YouTube
- X
- More
…you could be missing out on millions more.
Cross-platform posting is proven to increase reach:
Why Multi-Platform Content Works
And I know it’s annoying.
I hated uploading to every platform manually.
Copying captions.
Copying hashtags.
Doing the same thing over and over.
That’s why I built Socialync.
One upload → all platforms.
One caption → everywhere.
One time → maximum reach.
If you’re telling great stories,
you deserve to have them seen everywhere —
not just on one app.
Final Thoughts
Thank you for reading this.
It means a lot.
Story is everything.
If you can make people believe in what you believe in —
and root for what you’re fighting for —
your content will explode.
And when you’re ready to share your story everywhere…
Socialync is here to help.
Have a wonderful day —
God bless.
